lbgoodpasture Posted January 8, 2012 Report Posted January 8, 2012 My friends and I are planning a trip to Kauai, HI in May. The dates are set in stone and there are 8 of us going. Does anyone have any advice for me as far as when is the best time to get tickets, how cheap might we be able to get them from Austin, Texas to LIH, and if we should use priceline to do so? I'm worried about getting stuck with an obscenely long layover. Should we take the risk or should we wait for ticket prices to drop? Right now they are coming in roughly around $850-900 per ticket on regular airlines. Any advice? Thanks.

How much savings would you need to make an opaque purchase (where you agree to the possibility of at least one layover, don't know the flight times, layover city and length, etc, etc)Additionally, what are the date/s of travel?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
