schlegal1 Posted January 9, 2012 Author Report Posted January 9, 2012 Hello, Thanks for the friendly help. I used your links to go to Priceline and followed this strategy:I tried:$60 in Strip North - rejectedAdded Boulder Strip and Bid $65 - rejectedAdded Henderson and Bid $70 - rejectedAdded Nellis LAs Vegas Speedway and Bid $75 - rejectedAdded NW Las Vegas and Bid $80 - rejected. There's always tomorrow, I guess!I am tempted instead to follow your HOTWIRE link and book a 5* offered on Hotwire for $119/night. I'll start a new thread to ask about it.

schlegal1 Posted January 10, 2012 Author Report Posted January 10, 2012 OK, thanks for letting me know. I didn't want to mix Priceline and Hotwire if that is problematic. I wonder if I up my final bid to $85 if I will have better luck -- any experience?I am considering booking for a North Strip room on Hotwire, is it probably Trump?"Las Vegas Sttrip North Area Hotel" 5 starsThis Hotel features the following amenities:Spa ServicesGuests have access to a spa facility or spa services; an extra charge typically applies.ResortResorts offer a complete destination experience. Facilities generally include a spa or fitness center, one or more swimming pools, and superior dining options. Depending on location, recreational activities may include water sports, golf, tennis or skiing. Coastal resorts usually boast ocean views or beachfront access. Note: A resort fee may be charged.Smoke Free RoomsGuest rooms at this hotel are always smoke-free.Fitness CenterGuests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply.Pool(s)Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal.Restaurant(s)Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary.High-Speed Internet AccessGuestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply.KitchenetteAccommodations include a stovetop or microwave oven, a sink and a mini-refrigerator.
AaronJB Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 If $80 was not successful and $85 is the upper range of your desired price range, then it's worth a try.The HOTWIRE listing would be a likely match for the Trump.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
schlegal1 Posted January 11, 2012 Author Report Posted January 11, 2012 Same strategy but started at $65 and went up to $85. No luck. It's a long weekend so I am not too optimistic. I will repost if I keep trying and have any success. I have been using the PRICELINE link here.
