MrsEdwards Posted January 7, 2012 Report Posted January 7, 2012 I tried unsuccessfully to bid for a hotel in University Park or Downton Pittsburgh on Priceline for January 16-17, 2012. I had seen earlier that Hotwire had a downtown, 3.5 star hotel for $75 a night, so was unwilling to bid more than $75 on Priceline. When I bid $75 on Priceline for a hotel in University Park, they countered at $96.On Hotwire, I selected Downtown Pittsburgh and Oakland and saw an offer for a 3.5 star hotel in Downton Pittsburgh. The amenities were:Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business CenterHigh-Speed Internet AccessBased on the Hotwire hotel list, I figured it would be the Doubletree or Sheraton Station Square. I'm very happy I got Sheraton Station Square for $75 before tax. Thanks for your help!
