You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose.

With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. As well, HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates.

If HOTWIRE is not showing any 5* hotels in this zone for your dates then they have no access to inventory for a hotel of this rating in this zone.

I can see a 5* on strip north, based on my experience, it may be the TRUMP

But, i see lots of people don't like trump, just want to know the reasons why? :)

PS. I will rent a car there, is it only because it is far from the central strip? how is the hotel it self? The price is pretty good, only 81 dollars per night

From the feedback i have heard, the main issue with the Trump is the location and that it doesn't have a casino (this latter issue more of a plus for many as opposed to a detriment). Although it's not that far from the strip (the verdict is out depending upon how much you like to walk... some say it's easily walkable, others complain it's too far and not walkable) i think the issue is that the Vegas strip is a 'walking town'; you walk out of your hotel and have a dozen different places you can go in under 5 minutes, so this just doesn't provide the Vegas experience that many are seeking when they head to Vegas. As far as the hotel itself, i have heard mostly very good reviews.
