Priceline Hotel: 4* CAYMAN ISLAND Marriott Grand Cayman Beach Resort

I want to stay on a 4* hotel in Grand Cayman from 15. of january to 20. of january.

I used the links above before I bid $100, added 3*+, bid $110, added 3* and bid $115. No dice yet. It doesnt seem like there are any 2*+, 3*, or 3*+ hotels in that area, however I am not sure.

Any tips?

HOTWIRE has a 3* at $186, and a 4* at $237. Tough market, I'm sorry to say. Did you try Orbitz, and all the other usual suspects? Lots of links under "Support Page" up above.

4* and above, current cheapest listings per night:

Expedia: Marriot - $323 (listing The Reef (3,5*) for $163 - looks like a decent hotel)

Hotels.com: Westin - $349

Hotwire has a 4* for $237 (Resort, Beachfront Property, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Spa Services, Children's Activity Program)

Hotwire has a 3* for $186 (Resort, Suite, Near Beach, Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Kitchenette)

Priceline comes up with only 2*, 4* and 5* hotels. Of the 4*s, Marriott is the cheapest at $339.

I am going to bid again today once the 24 hours have passed. Any suggestions for starting bid?

I think I'm just going to go for The Reef at the fixed rate.

I did one more attempt at $160, and I actually won Marriott. Quite happy with that, besides The Reef was too far away.
