DISNEYLANDFAN Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 I'd like to find a hotel in Vegas for this weekend. Would like to pay around $40 for the best quality possible. We can stay anywhere. Any ideas which zone would be best. I don't want to stay at Luxor. It was a cheapie when it first opened. Would love to stay at Mandalay Bay, or somewhere with a great pool but afraid I might get something else.
thereuare Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 I don't think $40 is going to get you anything near the quality of the Mandalay Bay for weekend nites. You mention that you can 'stay anywhere' but then state that you don't want the Luxor... do you need to exclude this property from your possible outcomes or is price ultimately the most important factor and should you land this hotel you'd be fine with it? Are you only looking at hotels on/near the strip or are you also considering Downtown, Henderson, etc.. exactly which zones, by PRICELINE name, are acceptable? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. DISNEYLANDFAN Posted January 4, 2012 Author Report Posted January 4, 2012 Good point about weekend rates.... Just want to avoid Luxor. Want to stay near the strip if possible.
thereuare Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 While i don't think you're budget would be enough for the Luxor, if you want to avoid it then you can't bid the Strip South zone at all... leaving you with only the Strip North zone. However, the Strip North zone extends somewhat far north, near the Stratosphere, Circus Circus, etc, which is not what most consider to be 'the strip'. Is this North Strip area acceptable? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
