homerzzz Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 I'd like to stay in a 4* hotel in Soho 4/20-4/23/12. Can you suggest a bidding strategy and reasonable starting price? Seems that I should keep re-biding with zones that don't contain 4* hotels? Thanks.

homerzzz Posted January 4, 2012 Author Report Posted January 4, 2012 I would like to stay in Soho at a 4*. I am hoping for less than $200/night. On priceline I tried:These areas:Long Island CityLower East SideMadison Square Garden - Convention AreaMorningside Heights - HarlemQueensborough BridgeSoHo - TribecaUpper East Side(not in that order - I obviously tried soho first)I think I started at $120 and I kept rebidding and adding zones and my last bid was $150 (which was rejected).Any thoughts? Thanks!

homerzzz Posted January 7, 2012 Author Report Posted January 7, 2012 I decided to stop after the first bidding set you recommended as I was hoping to get a great deal. All of my bids were rejected. I guess I will wait a week and try again. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted January 7, 2012 Report Posted January 7, 2012 Rates are a little higher in late April as it starts to get in the Spring season, but you do have time to keep trying and hopefully inventory will come online at lower rates.
