jgbeehive Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 Hi, thanks everyone for the great and helpful info on this site. Ive been checking it out a for a while, but this is my first post :) Trying to get a 3.5* in MSG-convention center for nights of 1/5 and 1/6. Have a train early from Penn Station on saturday 1/7, so dont want to have to travel far early that morning (thus, was really only considering MSG & maybe Hells Kitchen zones). I see on Hotwire that 3.5* MSG zone is going for $105/night (The New Yorker?), so thought I may be able to undershoot that on Priceline - no luck so far, and went up to $90/night (including Hells Kitchen). Any advice on how to proceed? Am I missing any steps to get a good deal on Priceline? Is it worth expanding my zone search? I figured I can wait a day to book, and if nothing comes out of Priceline, can go with the Hotwire one. I figure if The New Yorker is the likely candidate on Hotwire, I am fine with that. How quality are the 3* in MSG zone - is it worth including that lower star level? I dont want to save $30 and get substantially lower quality, but am not familiar with this zone (usually book in CPS or MTE) - so maybe its worth it. Thanks!
