Hotwire Hotel: 3.5* Chicago (Magnificent Mile - Streeterville) River Hotel

Bid on Priceline up to $110 for the same dates (3.5* and 4*; Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area and North Michigan Ave - River North Area ), but no luck. Have been trying on Priceline for the past month, but it seems prices are much higher for New Years Eve (NYE).

Found a 3.5* on Hotwire for $102/night, but it sold out last night just before we could check out.

Finally decided on this $114 3.5* hotel in the Magnificent Mile Area - Streeterville area. Amenities are listed as "Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access", and it is rated 85% of Hotwire customer reviews.

This turned out to be the River Hotel, which is on the river across from the new Trump tower. It seems to have a better overnight parking rate than some other 4* hotels. Looking forward to staying there and hope this info helps some people.

This is an excellent deal for this centrally located hotel on NYE - it's in the same building as the Club Quarters hotel, and a Corner Bakery is a few doors down for breakfast/lunch/dinner if you don't want to go far. The Pittsfield Cafe at 55 E Washington is a popular old-school diner option nearby for breakfast, too (tripadvisor - http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g35805-d1025120-Reviews-Pittsfield_Cafe-Chicago_Illinois.html)
