First off, you should know that they dont have any rooms with double queens...

-Customer Service-

Hotel was a nightmare for customer service. When we first got room, it seemed okay, but noticed a smell. Also there was significant mold on the toilets. My brother ended up getting sick (he's sensitive to mold) and could not stay at the hotel. A friendly lady helped us, and eventually moved us to a suite (which was not quite of an "upgrade"). Ten minutes after switching us to the suite, the friendly lady forgot who we were, and became very aloof.

Another thing that bothered me with this hotel is the lack of knowledge within the hotel. When I first checked in an asked for a room with two queens, I was told "Sure, no problem." Mind you they dont have a room with queens.

Secondly, we were told at check in that they don’t have a breakfast buffet everyday, and to call the front desk the night before to see if there was a buffet for the following day. One day I decided to do just that, but lady who had answered the phone was completely baffled at our question.

Housekeeping was also quite annoying. There was only one day when we forgot to put the do not disturb noticed on the door, and they had no problem knocking at our door at 8:30 AM to clean up. What is the big rush? Why could they not clean up rooms for people who had already checked out?

Also my last gripe with housekeeping, One day I asked for additional time before housekeeping. The lady said she would come back and completely forgot to come back. That night when we came home very late at night, we called the front desk, and got clean sheets and towels after 45 minutes. Also, the guy who gave us our sheets let us know how much of a hassle it was for him.

-Appearance/Cleanliness-

From the looks on the outside, this is one of the nicest looking Holiday Inns I have ever seen, but don’t let that fool you. It happens to be one of the filthiest. When we asked for a different room b/c of the dirty toilets, we were shown 6 rooms, and not one single room had a clean toilet. Also, one of the rooms had urine in the shower. The hotel supervisors were all embarrassed and gave us buffet coupons as compensation.

The suites have low drop down ceilings. This is probably b/c one of the buildings (that the suites are in) is older. Also, the rooms are generally very dark at night. The suites are very much a downgrade compared to the less expensive rooms. (except for the moldy smell).

-Miscellaneous-

Something odd with our hotel keycards would constantly happen: our four cards took turns not working. One day we could get in the room, the next day it would stop working, and we would have to use a different key that wouldn’t work the previous day.

This hotel is a nightmare. If you can put up with mold and unknowledgeable staff, then this hotel is not a bad choice.

Near the end of my stay, we spoke with the owner, and explained to him our stay. He seemed like a nice guy, and listened to what we had to say. Hopefully he will make improvements.
