Priceline Hotel: 3.5* - 4* Cleveland (Downtown) March 1 - March 6

I have been trying to get a 3.5 - 4 star hotel at cleveland downtown area for 2 weeks.

These are the lowest hotel prices on priceline for a 4 star hotel 135$ hayat arcade,

100$ for 3.5 star hotel embassy at cleveland downtown area.

And these are my latest bids,

90$+tax for 4 star hotel at cleveland downtown.

65$+tax for 3.5 star hotel at cleveland downtown.

As a result still rejected.<Its almost 2 month advance and why are the prices are so expensive? Are the prices higher than usual due to christmas time or priceline is not cheap as used to be ?

I dont think its not a good idea to higher the bid to save 15$ , at least if i get on my own i can choose the hotel and get a full refund for cancelation.
