Enjoy your stay.Brockg,The situation is completely understandable, as it all comes down to supply vs. demand... obviously New Year's Eve (especially with it being on a Saturday nite this year) will be much busier than the Tues-Thur beforehand. For New Year's Eve many hotels will be at or near full occupancy, so there is little reason to offer deep discounts thru the opaque providers.
