Priceline Hotel: NYC 2012 in late march or April. Which week is cheapest?

I know hotel prices in the city can swing way up on certain weeks so I'm looking to find a cheap week in late March or sometime in April for 5 nights in the city. Thanks

The moderators will probably provide you with information based on more direct knowledge/experience, but I'd like to suggest couple DIY approaches you might find useful.

In Hotwire, enter the various date ranges you are considering. Then track a couple of the star level/areas you would consider.

In the Calendar of Wins (under Tools up above), enter the same date ranges and NY. See what people have reported for successful Priceline bids. And while you are there, also take a look at the Hotwire reportings to see what hotels people are receiving.

I was able to figure out how to go back in the calendar of wins to check the period of time. I'm not use to the new board I guess. Still if anybody knows any certain week that is really good off hand, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks

Why not start by searching various date combinations in HOTWIRE and choose the date ranges with the lowest rates ;)
