PollyNYC Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 Driving from NYC to CLE and wanted to split up the drive to make it easier on myself, IF I could get a pretty cheapo rate for a hotel. Tried getting Danville but it wasn't happening. Even tried adding Lewisburg - something near enough to I-80.Closed up that bid and reconnected to Priceline (again using the link in your signature line) and tried for Clearfield. So we have to detour off I-80 a little bit. Got a pretty good deal, I think! We've stayed at Hampton Inns before. Hoping it's relatively the same all over. I'm just glad to avoid driving for 8.5 hrs straight through. (That will be on the drive back! Ouch! :(Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $38.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1Number of Guests Per Room: 2Number of Nights: 1Room Subtotal: $38.00 (USD)Taxes and Fees: $10.83 (USD)Total Room Cost: $48.83 (USD)Hope this helps someone!Happy Holidays, yo! ;)
AaronJB Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Congrats on your success. :)Very nice deal for this property! Glad the hotel will work out well for your travel plans. Just to confirm, is this the Hampton Inn in the Lemont-Dale Summit zone on PRICELINE? Thanks.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
PollyNYC Posted January 31, 2012 Author Report Posted January 31, 2012 Yes, that is correct: Lemont-Dale Summit zone. It worked out really well! The place was a ghost town... the entire town was a ghost town! Guess everyone was already home for the holidays. We were really glad to take the trip in 2 segments. The ride home wasn't too bad, either! :)
thereuare Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Thanks for the follow-up!PRICELINE / HOTWIRE does make it an easier decision to 'stay the nite' rather than drive straight thru on long car trips.Glad to hear this worked out well for your needs. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
