Priceline Hotel: Help for South Beach hotel for one night - Feb 29th

Visiting Miami for the first time before a cruise, and we'd like to stay in South Beach - if it's not too expensive. We're hoping for something around $150.

Any idea what we would pay at a 2 or 2.5 star level in walking distance of South Beach since we won't have a car? I do have four people, so I'm hoping that any room we get will accommodate the four of us (taking a chance, I know). Are there a lot of rooms with only one bed, or is it a fairly safe bet??

Any hints, tips, etc. would be appreciated!

PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. Is this a risk you're willing to accept? If not, HOTWIRE may still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensure sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search (although this usually means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a sofabed, rollaway, etc)

Many hotels are South Beach are smaller, independently owned, and 'boutique' (read: small) that i would consider using PRICELINE a risk... HOTWIRE would be a better option, imo.
