cny1 Posted December 21, 2011 Report Posted December 21, 2011 What do you think is a good starting bid for 4 * in either Dupont Circle -Woodley Park, Georgetown/Foggy Botton or Whitehouse/Downtown from 4/26-4/28? The list prices look very reasonable , so I am wondering how much savings there will actually be and if worth "gambling" on hotel for low percentage of savings. Thanks
AaronJB Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 Good evening. :)What would be your desired max bid per night for this stay? I'm thinking you may be able to get a 4* in these areas for $58-62 at the low end, but more likely around $65-72. HOTWIRE certainly has some reasonable rates for these dates.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

cny1 Posted December 23, 2011 Author Report Posted December 23, 2011 Best guess for HOtwire 4* Dupont Circle /Embassy Rw with fitness, restaurant and business center ...80% approval for $85 a night?

thereuare Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 The topic title of this thread indicates 12/26-12/29 and your post indicated 4/26-2/28... searching HOTWIRE i see this Dupont Circle property offered 12/26-12/29, these are your actual dates, correct? This amenity set matches both the Dupont Hotel and the St. Gregory Luxury Hotel and Suites, so either of these would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help (and either way, please clarify your dates) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
cny1 Posted December 24, 2011 Author Report Posted December 24, 2011 Sorry about the confusion. I meant 4* from the 26-29 of December. I have found a package at the St Gregory whcih actually is less than the Hotwire price for those days. So, I will most likely not use Priceline or Hotwire on this stay. Very unusual for me...but I have a feeling that if I have any savings at all, it will be minimal due to such low published rates during theses days. I will post when I make final decision. Thanks.

cny1 Posted January 7, 2012 Author Report Posted January 7, 2012 THanks for your help. I eneded up getting a great deal at the St Gregory so I decided against priceline and hotwire this time.
