Chris M Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 I am trying to stay for New Year's Eve in the Boston Waterfront area, or if that proves too pricy then in the Boston Harbor Front - Aquarium area. The Westin and Renaissance are at $278/$279 if I wanted to book through Priceline, so I am curious what I should bid. I did try bidding once already at $205, but it wasn't accepted. I am willing to go to about $230 at the most, since the fees/taxes are about $35 on top of that. Is that a reasonable ceiling? If I end up expanding to the Aquarium area (3 hotels), what should I start the bidding at? It's hard for me to judge because of the inflated prices for that night.Any ideas, suggestions or help is appreciated.p.s. Any future bids I will be sure to click through from your link! :)
AaronJB Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Are any other nearby areas of interest? HOTWIRE does not have any availability in the waterfront area, but other areas - while still expensive - do have some options, including a 4* Back Bay-Copley for $208 and a 4.5* Quincy-Financial for $221. Given some of the HOTWIRE rates, it's quite possible that lower rates could be had via PRICELINE, although discounts overall for this night will be less than usual given hotels expecting walk-ins for NYE.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
