FromUK2NYC Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Hi All, Was advised by moneysavingexpert bloggers to gain your advice for booking a hotel in NYC.My and girlfriend are travelling out a week on Thurs and are currently booked in the Millennium Broadway but the latest reviews have me worried. Anyways, we were originally looking at Crowne Plaza Times Square or the Intercontinental but prices got too silly as we left it too late to book at a reasonable price. How would you advise me to bid in order to get a bargain for this period?Any help much appreciated
thereuare Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! This is going to be a difficult win since your dates include NYE, a nite when occupancy, and rates, will be very high. If hotels have not sold-out on their own, there will likely be little reason for them to discount too deeply. What is your rate at the Millennium Broadway? Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? If so, what is your hotel rate nite-by-nite at the Millennium Broadway? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. FromUK2NYC Posted December 21, 2011 Author Report Posted December 21, 2011 Many thanks for the response. The price all in for Millennium Broadway is only £1560 so not too bad but it's the recent reviews that are putting me off. The manager has assured me that she will take personal responsibility for my room booking so I'm tempted to remain there. Confused.com
