gyang Posted December 17, 2011 Report Posted December 17, 2011 Bid for four days no luck until today. Bid from $16,$18,$20,$22, at this point still telling me it's too lower. But $22 even higher than retailer's nobidding price. So I went back to retailer's price list and picked up this one. The price is $21. It's done. Weird. Any one knows why?
thereuare Posted December 17, 2011 Report Posted December 17, 2011 Assuming you were bidding for a compact car, it could simply be too early for the car rental companies to discount this rental, they could have just the 'right' number of unrented cars available where they don't need to lower the retail rate but also don't need to seek outside help to sell their remaining inventory, or a handful of other possible scenarios.Glad to see you did your homework and new not to overbid for this rental. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Have a good trip.
