bimmertrek Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 Hi everyone, newbie here. Great site! Was referred by my brother in law. Off to Vegas from December 26th-29th. Hotwire says for a 5* south strip room it'll be $111/night for 2 adults AND one child. Does this mean it'll have 2 beds as well? When I put in only 2 adults and leave off the child it says $108/night. Amenities include: Resort, Pool(s), high speed internet, casino, restaurant(s), business center, fitness center. I was thinking a hotel at city center like Aria or Vdara? We stayed at Aria last time and loved it! Thanks for the help!!!
thereuare Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! (and thanks to your brother-in-law for referring you here)The property above matches previous reports for the Aria Hotel and Casino so that would be my bst guess for this one.HOTWIRE guarantees the room will accommodate the number of guests you include in your search, so searching for 2adults/1child should ensure separate sleeping accommodations, but the second 'bed' could be a pullout sofabed, rollaway brought into the room, etc. If you need two beds you could also try searching for 2adults/2children, as the $3 difference in price you're seeing above i don't think is due to the extra guess but more likely do normal HOTWIRE fluctuation from one search to the next... searching for 2adults/2children will likely be around the same price... or may even be less than your previous search. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. bimmertrek Posted December 13, 2011 Author Report Posted December 13, 2011 Ok, I put in 2 adults & 2 children and it still says $111 (originally $227). Would this be a "basic" room or higher up? The basic is awesome but for the original price of $227 I'm thinking it would be a higher end room??
AaronJB Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 HOTWIRE and PRICELINE reservations are for regular/non-upgraded rooms. Any requests can be made with the hotel.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 Don't read into the crossed out price too much... that pricing is based upon the star level and zone, not this specific property ;)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.PS- if you haven't, please read your messages.
