Priceline Hotel: Strategy for : 3* Houston (Airport Houston Hobby HOU)

Travelling to Houston area and want to stay in Hobby area as we're there for a wedding and am wondering how much should I bid?

My dates are 12/28 - 1/2/2012

I can take any 3 or 4* property if available in this vicinity area

My budget is around $45 for up to 3.5* and someone recently reported getting Four Points near Hobby for $38 in October. I realize different dates matter.

Yes willing to pay little bid extra ($50) for a 4*.

I think I could use League City as a re-bid zone if first I chose only Hobby Airport zone to bid on Priceline?

The Houston Hobby Priceline zone only has up to 3* bidding. When you mention "...near Hobby", which specific zones do you mean?

There are quite a few more free rebid zones than League City. The number depends upon the star level you are bidding - there are more at the higher star bidding levels. There is a discussion on determining free rebid zones in Tips & Tricks for Priceline and Hotwire/General Priceline Tips/Bidding Again before 24 hours.

Hi Romelle, I checked again and I find 2 more that I can be okay staying in those areas:

Kemah - Seabrook

and

Webster - Clearlake

and

League City.

So does that give me atleast 4 re-bid zones if my math is correct? None of the above offers 4 star. Only couple of the above offers 3* I think.
