I haven't booked in this region before. It looks like the prices are often 30%-50% lower on Priceline. My wife and I have had bad experiences with Priceline in the US recently with smokey rooms so this is certainly attractive . . . but so is paying less.

I digress.

A property with this amenity set has not yet been reported to the board. A guess would be the Holiday Inn OHare (Cumberland Ave) with the addition of a Smoke Free icon since last reported to the board. This property is not 100% smoke-free, but they only have a dozen or so smoking rooms, so they may automatically assign all HOTWIRE reservations to non-smoking rooms and therefore show the icon.

I wound up using priceline instead. I used the PRICELINE link. I will post in a separate forum my result.

Bidding history was rather drawn out because March is so far off and I wasn't stressed.

About a week ago I started bidding at $35 for ORD North and South. I jumped between 3.5* and 3* to allow for two bids. I moved up incrementally in $1 amounts.

Today I bid $40 for 3.5*. Based on the board, I assumed I was still quite far off so I jumped to $42 for a 3*. Low and behold it was accepted for the Radisson. Well priceline can keep my dollar. With taxes it is $55.66USD (about $60 Canadian). Overall a pretty good deal for a layover. I am pleased to see it is next to an off-airport property restaurant. I am also pleased to see it is entirely non-smoking.

We also have a layover in one week in ORD. I would be itnerested in feedback from the board - should I aim hire (4*+) or simply duplicate my bid and go for this twice?
