deepintotherain Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 I am staying in ohau Hawaii for 2 nights 2012 Apr 3rd (Tuesday) and 4th (Wendensday). I wanted to bid for Hyatt Regency Waikiki (just saw someone won it for $120).I notice in the waikiki beach region (no.7) there are only 2 four star hotels being Hyatt Regency Waikiki and Parc Waikiki hotel. I was worried if I bid too low I might end up buying Parc Waikiki Hotel. Any tips?
thereuare Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you haven't, please start by reading your messages. You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose. (and note the comments at the top of the Priceline Hotel List that there could be others nor yet reported to the board). With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. As well, HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates.Let us know if/how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. deepintotherain Posted January 30, 2012 Author Report Posted January 30, 2012 I am not sure about how many days I am staying in Ohau just yet, therefore did not try and bid just yet.

deepintotherain Posted February 13, 2012 Author Report Posted February 13, 2012 Ooh, it looks as though for the period of Apr 02 - Apr 03 (1 night) Waikiki Beach Hotels and Resorts are expensive. I have bidded up to $135 for 4 Star + 5 Star + Resort in Waikiki Beach Area still not successful. Any tips or should I just increase bidding amount and keep trying??
