SacKG Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 HotwireDec 9-11, 20114 Star Empire State Area95% reccomended, high Speed Internet (only amenities listed)or 4 Star Downtown - SoHo - Financial District area hotelDec 9-11, 2011Amenities: Fitness Center, Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service) 80% reccomendedAny Ideas on either of these? Guessing the Soho hotel is World Trade center, as it seems to be popular on Hotwire.com, but reviews seem higher on other sites?Thx :)
thereuare Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding!St. Giles The Court has been seen at the 4* level and with just a solo Internet icon in the ESB zone, so that would be my best guess for this one, but can never be too certain with just one (common) amenity icon.A property with the Downtown amenities has not yet been reported to the board.HOWEVER, i'll add that i'm not seeing either of these properties offered when searching HOTWIRE for your dates... are you still seeing this when searching for your dates? If so, are you searching for more than one room OR for more than the default 2adults/0children?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. SacKG Posted December 7, 2011 Author Report Posted December 7, 2011 I went online again and do not see the 4 star ESB currently :(. I will keep trying back and forth tonight. Any other suggestions to bid on PRICELINE for > 300 3.5/ 4 star , same dates? If I see the ESB 4 star I will prob book it and will follow up on here.
AaronJB Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 Are you only interested in ESB & Downtown/Soho?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 I'll add that if budget is a deciding factor, a 4* in Hoboken-Jersey City can like be had for the ~$200/nite area. This area provides easy access to Manhattan via PATH trains in about 15 minutes. It's not as covnenient as staying directly in the city, and you do lose the 'buzz' factor, but if you're the type that typically leaves the hotel in the morning and doesn't return until later at nite, the $100/nite savings could certainly go a long way to splurging a bit in the city on something you might not otherwise spend the money on.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Keep us updated on your progress or if you have any questions regarding the NJ zone mentioned above.
