princejci Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 Looking to take Amtrak to Chicago on 7/1/05 and would like help on bidding for a 3* hotel on the Magnificent Mile. Any suggestions on how much I should bid? Would like to get something for less than $60. Thanks
thereuare Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 Rates are not high for this nite, but due to the re-zoning of the Chicago area i think this is may be a difficult win.You have one re-bid zone available, i would...Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $60.If rejected you may want to raise your bid a bit and/or add alternate zones (like Millenium, Grant, Loop) which will better your chances. If you go that route let us know and we'll supply a strategy if needed.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. princejci Posted June 23, 2005 Author Report Posted June 23, 2005 Thanks for your help, but we ended up getting an employee rate for a Holiday Inn from a relative. They ussally have a hard time getting this, so I was lucky.
