Hotwire Hotel: Is this the Hilton Washington and Towers?

If you search for more than one room does this property still appear... as it doesn't on my search for your dates.

I'd suggest giving those in your group a few parameters, get commitments for those that are "in" given a certain price, star rating, etc... then search using that criteria. Given that this is NYE, it is quite possible that inventory will change quickly, and you may not have much time to consult with everyone over a day or two, for when you return to make the purchase, an entirely different selection may be offered.

You make a good point and I hadn't thought to check how many rooms are available. Along those lines, if I book it on Hotwire for 2 people, does that mean I won't have the option of 2 queen beds?

I should clarify by saying that we're staying at the Hilton Washington and Towers regardless. In fact, we've already got 3 rooms booked there at the NYE rate of $189/night.

However, we're able to cancel them at no cost at this point so I was hoping to get a better rate on at least 1 of the rooms if not all of them. If we were able to book even one room on Hotwire that would save us $100!

So, I'm really wondering what my chances are of this being the right hotel. It seems to me like its down to the Towers, the Palomar and the Omni. Is there anyway to get a better feel for which it could be? A lot of this is based on the awesome DC hotels list you put together a few years back.

HOTWIRE should ensure bedding for the amount of people in the party; two people indicated would likely result in one bed; more than two would likely result in 2 beds or 1 + rollaway or other combination. Indicating two only, one could call the hotel after booking and request two beds, but it's up to the hotel. HOTWIRE did show tripadvisor ratings with listings, which was often helpful in attempting to narrow down (although was not a guarantee)properties when multiple properties have been seen with the same amenity set - unfortunately, I haven't seen tripadvisor ratings showing with listings in recent weeks. HOTWIRE customer % ratings are not a reliable indicator, as there's nothing to check them against.
