zzdocxx
Dear members,I will be attending a conference at the Ritz Carlton in April 2012, but the room rates there are $275 per night.I have seen here that there is a nice hotel, 3.5*, the Marriott Laguna Cliffs, which has awarded wining bids from ~$95-150 recently. Here's my idea: Start bidding around $95, and then add the Laguna Beach area, which has only up to 3* properties. Which should allow me an extra free bid, right?Another idea would be to book the Laguna Cliffs Inn, which has good reviews on tripadvisor and is a 2* hotel. The rates I see online are around $135/night.Any other suggestions? Thanks! :) Link to comment
thereuare
Your plan make sense, but Laguna Beach is not your only re-bid zones... you have FOUR such re-bid zones when bidding 3.5* in this area (i assume Dana Point-San Clemente is the actual zone you're try to land in).Use the method described here, Priceline Re-Bidding Explained, and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board. If you'd like help with a more specific bidding strategy let us know. Also, what are the actual dates of your stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. zzdocxx
Thank you sir for pointing that out, I'm just a little rusty at this. Yes I could add the other areas of Orange County that are further away, such as Santa Ana, which have no 3.5* hotels. Excellent idea, I will report back later! thereuare
Feel free to confirm all your re-bid zones with the board. If you use a re-bid zone such as Santa Ana and then work your way down to 3* bidding, you'll need to closer the browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINE, in order to 'clear' the previously selected zones. If you'd like a more detailed bidding strategy please confirm your re-bid zones and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how your next round of bidding goes.
