campjero Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 Hello - does anyone know FOR SURE if the Park 55 Wyndham hotel is in Union Square East or Union Square West using Priceline.com? I see people listing in in both, and am confused. Thanks, D
thereuare Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please start by reading your messages.Currently, on PRICELINE the Parc 55 is in the USW-Nob Hill zone... on HOTWIRE it is in the USE zone. However, it's important to note that with PRICELINE you can't bid on a specific hotel, you need to be able to accept a hotel anywhere in the zone at the star rating (or higher that you choose)What are the date(s) of your stay and your expected budget? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. campjero Posted November 28, 2011 Author Report Posted November 28, 2011 Thanks for clarifying. I have stayed at this property before, and it is clearly not a 4 star in my opinion, for various reasons. I want Union square, and will pay upwards of $175 a night, I just don't want to get stuck with the Park 55 again. I see some people saying it is USE-Knob Hill Zone and USW - Knob Hill Zone, on Pricline, so I was confused why people had it listed in both. It looks like the hotel is right on the line of these 2 zones. So I will bid in the USE -Knob Hill section and keep fingers crossed that you are right! Thanks so much for your help. This is a great site! i will access the link from the better bidding site.thx, D.
Romelle Posted November 28, 2011 Report Posted November 28, 2011 Those map boundaries do get moved from time to time. thereuare used the word "currently" on purpose. It wouldn't hurt to zoom in on the particular zone map before bidding, and make sure things haven't changed.Romelle
thereuare Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 If you need help with a bidding strategy feel free to ask for help, and of course, HOTWIRE is also an option where you can usually take a guess as to the hotel you may likely be purchasing.Let us know whatever you decide and/or how it goes or if we can be of further help. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
