jaybert Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 used the better bidding PRICELINE link.Started at $100 for MTE, $105 MTE+MTW, $110 MTE-MTW+TimeSquare, $120 MTE+MTW+TS+CentralParkSouth and ended up getting the sheraton.worked out great since I'm coming in to watch book of mormom, which is only a few blocks from the Sheraton.
AaronJB Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 Congrats on your success. :)Very nice result for this Sheraton property and glad the location will work well for your travel plans.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
jaybert Posted February 19, 2012 Author Report Posted February 19, 2012 Didn't post here but I ended up at the Sheraton again last night using priceline ($100) after a great stay the first time.Very disappointed with the Sheraton this time around. Ended up in a non-upgraded room which has no right being a 4* hotel. The bed is not super comfortable and the carpets on the floor/room are dated/worn. They also put me in a room directly by the elevator but after some complaining they moved me to an equally dated room away from elevator.I must have gotten lucky and was upgraded based on spg status the first time around but not so lucky this time. Will try to avoid this bid zone for the next bid unless I really want this area as to not end up here again. (Just realized I included mtw in a bid yesterday...thought this hotel was considered time square until I went to reply to this post!! Oops)Oh, used your PRICELINE link for last nights stay, forgot to mention that too!
thereuare Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Sorry to hear that this stay didn't work out as good as the previous one... hopefully the show was good (i think we're scheduled to see that some time this summer, it's supposed to be excellent) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
jaybert Posted February 19, 2012 Author Report Posted February 19, 2012 The show was awesome. I'm not a fan of Broadway shows but I still really liked it (though maybe a bit more if ticket prices weren't as outrageous!)
thereuare Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 ...though maybe a bit more if ticket prices weren't as outrageous! My wife bought them, so as far as i'm concerned they're free and won't ask any more questions ;) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
