Priceline Hotel: Questions of priceline bidding

Hi,

At the end of march I want to visit NY. Now I came on priceline, because it should be possible to book hotels on better prices.

Now does it have impact to check priceline already now for the end of march? Or is it better to book 2-3 weeks before arrival in NY?

Manhattan period of 22 march until the 25th march

Price 70-100$ a night/room

3 stars

Is this possible or is this unrealistic :)

Welcome to BetterBidding!

While rates are currently not that high for these dates, sub-$100 wins in NYC are not that common and such expectations may be a bit aggressive for these dates (we an of course start low and bid higher, but something near $70 probably isn't that reasonable of an expectation). What is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable hotel thru conventional booking channels?

As far as when to bid, see the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.

Which zone(s) are you willing to accept?

You can do better then 'anywhere in Manhattan up to $170'...

What is your goal/purpose of this stay? Are you willing to pay more for a higher rated hotel OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this stay? Are you familiar with NYC and know the pros/cons of the different zones, staying UES/UWS vs. midtown vs. downtown?
