AEmgee Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 Needed for one night and is in a convenient location. Prior research suggested this would be the hotel based on the star rating and amenities, even though it had been crossed off the hotel list.City: Vancuver, BCRegion: Richmond-Vancouver AirportUpon bidding, this was the only 4* hotel listed for the Richmond-YVR area.Amenities: Airport Shuttle, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Kitchenette, High-Speed Internet Access, Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service)Check-in: 8/20/05Check-out: 8/21/05Used code GIFTCARD06 to save $10Taxes and fees: $21.95Final price was $97.95. I called earlier in the day for the rack rate, it was $152CAD and "Entertainment Book" rate was $145CAD. Hopefully, $30 Entertainment Book rebate (off booking of $95 or more) works on the final price, not the price before taxes and fees :). If that is the case, net of $67.95USD is much better than $150CAD + taxesThanks, betterbidding.com!
thereuare Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 Glad to have been able to help. The Marriott is only 'crossed off the (bottom) list' because it has been 'confirmed' and moved to the top list (the first post in the Hotel List thread). The bottom lists are believed accurate but unconfirmed with an opaque purchase, while the top list is actual confirmed wins thru the opaque hotel product.Others have reported that the $30 Entertainment Card rebate has been on the total purchase price (including fees and taxes) so i would think you'd be 'ok'... please let us know how it eventually turns out. Thanks for the post and enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
