Hi, I need help identifying this property for check in 11/27/11-12/1/11.

3 1/2 Stars - Disneyland South Area Hotel - $56 per night

Amenities: Smoke Free Rooms, Laundry Facilities (self-service), Business Center, High Speed Internet Access, Restaurant(s)

It says: We are still gathering reviews for this property.

I usually use Priceline's name your price, so Hotwire is new to me and I'm trying to figure out if we want to give this a try instead. Any help would be appreciated.

We have gone to Disneyland every year at this same time and have never had such a hard time locking in a really great rate. We have always won very nice 3.5* hotels for around $45/night. We have tried over the last couple weeks to score a deal, but never went higher than $48 for a 3.5* hoping to get a similar rate to past years.

Here is our bidding that we placed on 11/22.

-Bid $60 for 4* in Disneyland Anaheim South/Garden Grove - Declined but counter offered at $81

(we didn't really want to go any higher, so we went for a lower star)

-Added free re-bid zone - Bid $45 for 3.5* Disneyland Anaheim South/Garden Grove - Declined

-Added free re-bid zone - Bid $48 for 3.5* Disneyland Anaheim South/Garden Grove - Declined

-Added free re-bid zone - Bid $50 - Accepted at Red Lion

Dates of stay are Sunday 11/27 - Thursday 12/1. We were really hoping for the Crowne Plaza or Doubletree. We mistakenly thought that the Red Lion was in the Disneyland North Zone. This really isn't a great deal considering they have an advertised rate on their site for $79 which includes free parking and free daily breakfast. We have to pay parking which is $14 and if we were to add in the daily breakfasts, it would put our total at $84...$5 more than their advertised deal. But, it is closer to Disneyland than we have ever stayed. Hopefully the hotel will exceed our expectations. :)

And as always, we used your PRICELINE link for all searches and bids.

We never went for this deal, and stayed true to our usual way of bidding for hotels through Priceline's name your price. We ended up winning this hotel anyway. See Priceline section for details.

Okay, I am confused. I had a thread in the Hotwire section to help identify a hotel. I had a separate thread in Priceline's forum for my win which was unrelated to my Hotwire inquiry. It looks like my threads were combined into one. This comment was in reference to the Hotwire hotel we passed up on. Just don't want anyone reading this thread to be confused.

All posts for the same stay go in the same thread, which is why your two threads were merged. This allows others to see the everything that was involved/tried in receiving the ultimate win, as well as prevents the 'other' thread from not having a conclusion (many users would have a thread going in each forum and then only follow-up the thread which was won, leaving future readers of the 'other' thread wondering what was ultimately done for that stay). Having fewer threads without a conclusion helps keep the board better organized for everyone.

This thread is ultimately located in the PRICELINE section of the board since that is service that was ultimately used.

Hope that clarifies it a bit.
