Tried for 4 star downtown starting at $55. Moved up in $5 increments adding neighborhoods that didn't have 4 star hotels. Rejected at $80. Will try again in a couple of days.

Sorry to hear you're bids have not yet been successful.

At the moment my guess is that you may need to cross the $100 mark to be successful for a 4* hotel for these dates, but still plenty of time before your stay and hopefully rates will drop between now and then.

Thanks. Tried again tonight between $70 and $80, but no luck. Will try again in a few days. I'll eventually go up if need be but I'll hold out a little longer.

Hotwire has 3 1/2* City Center East and City Center West at $83 and $95. Might be a fall back position. Their 4* was $141.

I ended up booking the Radissin Plaza Warwick Hotel for $129 per night directly through the hotel. This was the pre-negotiated rate for the affair that I was attending.
