Traveller7
We were flexible with our dates, preferring to leave mid week, no weekends. After bidding at PL for a long time and not getting anything, and checking HW, we decided to book the regular way, knowing the hotel beforehand, so we did. We know we paid more, maybe double for what we could have found with PL or HW, but I have a disability that prevents me from accepting a pet hotel, which PL or HW do not identify beforehand, which they should for all disabled people, that is, asthamtics and allergic guests. Pet hotels are alot dirtier than non pet hotels including the beach. We only know of one big pet hotel on the beach in Cancun, so I just cannot take the chance as we think that pet hotel has been pushing their rooms online alot lately with really low prices. We sure hope to book our next vacation with PL or HW to save money next time and somehow not get the pet hotels. Is there anyway to tell that on PL or HW? Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
No, unfortunately you're not able to determine beforehand if a hotel is pet friendly or not. For some areas PRICELINE is now showing if hotels in a given zone and star rating are pet friendly, but as you're looking for a non-pet friendly property, the lack of such an icon does not indicate that no pets are allowed, so not really helpful to your situation. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... please check our Support Page for your hotel direct purchases. Traveller7
As you instructed and requested a follow up to previous post . . . I am not sure what we did that year, it was a long time ago, I don't think we found anything suitable that year. We did NOT book the Cancun 4.5 for $121. Link to comment
AaronJB
Thank you for closing the thread. Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans.
