I used this site's PRICELINE link to bid on my hotel stay. Started my bid for a Resort at $100, but got offered a second chance bid at $127. Later bid $110 and got it.

It's a very nice hotel and is conveniently located, so I'm happy with the result.

I'm curious as to how far out you placed your bid from the date needed. I've never bid on a room before since I always use hotel points or pay for them but wanted to try it out this time. We don't sail until Oct 14, 2012.

You're in the correct section of the board, but click the 'START NEW TOPIC' button on the bottom right rather than the 'reply' button.

Also, to answer your question above in case the OP doesn't come back to reply, it's not always the case, but you should assume that the win was won when posted (or at least within a few days of posting)... this is especially true if it's no the posters first post, as this indicates they've been a member here for awhile and therefore less likely that they won a hotel and then only found the board weeks/months later.
