Hotwire Hotel: 4* Dupont circle Hotel Palomar

Hotwire has a 4 star hotel from 4/28/2012 to 5/2/2012 for 160/night in Dupont Circle that I believe is The Hotel Palomar. I have priceline'd a couple times for 4 star up to 140 with no luck. The 160/night seems like a good deal. I need some opinions if I should book now or wait and keep trying priceline and hotwire? Thanks

I'll add that the Hotel Palomar an be booked for $169/nite (and it appears to be refundable... always double check during the check-out process) so i would sooner book that as a back-up and see if rates come down, as the ~$10 savings wouldn't be enough to lock-in a non-refundable purchase, imo (but you should book a back-up to protect yourself from rates rising in the months ahead)

The Hotel Palomar for 169/night is the one in Arlington not in Dupont Circle. I checked Dupont Circle Hotel Palomar through their website and can get it for 209/night.

The Palomar has been seen previously with the HOTWIRE amenity set noted above, so that would be my guess. There is a detailed discussion of timing in the FAQ.

Do you think at 160-170 a night i should book now through HOTWIRE or try to wait for better through PRICELINE?

If you are a AAA member you can get 10% off that rate or you can also get 10% off if you join their business program (which is free to join)... brings your room cost to $188/nite. I haven't confirmed that it's fully refundable, but i think it likely is, and i would book that as a back-up before locking in $160 as the 15% savings isn't worth it to do so at this point in time.

That's my .02 and how i would play it.
