JBinDen Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 Hi Denver Travelers,Have you used a Priceline bid for a DIA airport hotel and used their airport shuttle (leaving your car with them while away)? We'd like to bid a hotel over Thanksgiving week, but I'm wary of using PL and then being denied a "sleep/park/fly" opportunity. Our trip will cover 6 nights.Any experience good or bad that you could share would be helpful. I know PL is for rooms only, no extras, just wondering what experience you may have had. Thanks!
thereuare Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 The reply to your previous post pretty much covers it.A PRICELINE / HOTWIRE win would be for the room only. If the hotel you receive doesn't allow guests to leave their car at the hotel for free after your stay (or only offers such a service under a Park N Fly package) then you'll need to work something out with the hotel directly, but there is no assurance that they'll be willing to negotiate such an agreement.Even if other users report having won a hotel in this area and were able to leave their car while they traveled (either for free or for a negotiated fee) there is no way for you to ensure the same hotel or experience. If you need a Park N Fly package then you would be better served by booking a hotel direct which offers such a service/rate. If external airport parking for 6 nites plus the cost of a PRICELINE / HOTWIRE hotel room is less than any Park N Fly package you're able to find, then the opaque providers may still be a viable option, but if a Park N Fly package is less than doing the parking and hotel room ala carte, then i would suggest booking direct and getting what you need from this stay (please check our Support Page for your hotel direct purchases)Let us know what you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
