Rissa2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Report Posted November 18, 2011 Hi,I have been reading up on the basics of bidding on Priceline. I've already read your thread on re-bidding as well. I would like to bid on a 5* on Las Vegas Strip North and South for January 12th to 16th. What price should I start with given that it's low season during that time? I do know that there are about 11 re-bid zones so I can start fairly low? I guess max I'd be paying would be $150 per night? Thanks,Rissa
thereuare Posted November 18, 2011 Report Posted November 18, 2011 ... January 12th to 16th. What price should I start with given that it's low season during that time?Other than the summer and the weeks just before Christmas (but after the rodeo), Vegas is more of an event driven location as opposed to a high/low season market. The beginning dates of your stay coincide with the end of of CES which is one of the largest conventions of the year in Vegas (130K attendees expected)With the above noted, you still do have a chance of succeeding up to $150, and to give it a using your ELEVEN re-bid zones (feel free to confirm them with the board if you're unsure):Select 5* Strip South and Strip North...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150Any questions feel free to ask. If the above is rejected post back and we'll discuss some of your options such as SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. Loan_Crusader Posted November 18, 2011 Report Posted November 18, 2011 i booked a room during that time and it was $155 per night on HOTWIRE at the aria. Friday being the last day of CES, if you can go from saturday on, it's <$100 per day.
Rissa2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Author Report Posted November 19, 2011 Hi Admin - I tried bidding with those prices with no luck :( I'll try to see if I can change the dates.
