Hello I was really looking for Isla Verde for this win. It seemed like the hotel could of ended up as Conrad in Condado. I took my chances and scored this Isla Verde hotel. There are some mixed reviews, I'm still excited that it is in Isla Verde, San Juan, PR. I used the betterbidding.com (Hotwire) link and took my chances based on thread that said guessed it to be El San Juan Hotel & Casino or Intercontinental. The price of the hotel is 111.00 plus $20.45 it taxes and fees. There is also the resort fee charged upon checking in. Thanks, here are the amenities:

I could not edit the header on this post from 5 star to 4 star and the correct datge of 12/17/11-12/18/11. Thanks, here are the amenities:

PS- if you're looking for a relatively inexpensive breakfast option, walk towards the InterContinental hotel and just past it cross to the other side of the street. There is a small strip mall where at the end is a place called the Golden Bagel Bakery. Inexpensive breakfast prices, AWESOME cafe con leche, and typical slow service which is ubiquitous throughout the island.

Thanks for the tip at Golden Bagel Bakery. Since my mom is a native to PR, I feel a little guilty going elsewhere for "cafe con leche" but I do love a bargain. I will check this unfamiliar place out. Thanks for the tip. I hope I don't get in trouble for too much info on one thread but: nearby where many of airport car rental locations are there a great mom/pop eatery near MCDonalds. Its called Bebo's BBQ. Great food, great prices, just a little crowded due to its local popularity. http://www.yelp.com/biz/bebos-bbq-carolina. Adios!!!
