RockyCFC Posted November 15, 2011 Author Report Posted November 15, 2011 Hi There5* London Mayfair- Soho/Kensington/ or Marble ArchI am looking to stay in London from March 12-16th, and I have been trying some cheeky bids of around $180 for 5* accomodation for the above areas without success.I realise we are still 4 months away, so there may not be much up yet, but has anyone had successful bids in those areas and what was realistic?

RockyCFC Posted November 16, 2011 Author Report Posted November 16, 2011 Done :) And on the search I just ran too!
thereuare Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 With the 5* HOTWIRE property above at $260+ per nite and your current maximum 5* bid only at $180, are you wiling to pay $250+ for a room for this stay at this time... or would you sooner trip bidding higher on PRICELINE?Are you wiling to bid higher than $180 for a 5* hotel at this point in time, if so, what is your maximum bid? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. RockyCFC Posted November 17, 2011 Author Report Posted November 17, 2011 Good question, I would probably go a little higher. Priceline worries me a little, as with Hotwire I can have a good guess at what the hotel is, with Priceline that's not the case, so I don't want to pay as much of a premium...
RockyCFC Posted November 17, 2011 Author Report Posted November 17, 2011 Pretty pleased with this, as it is closer to where we want to be (Covent Garden)Price is almost
thereuare Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you're pleased with the results adn thank you for sharing your win with the board.
