Priceline Hotel: Ripped off

I bid on Resorts in Palm Desert for $169 they said the average was $299 They stuck me way out in a place that I could have bought for only $159

I guess if there is a low priced place anywhere in the area they will stick you with it. Anyone know how to get in the nicer Resort?
