Priceline Hotel: Need Manhattan Hotel for 11/24 and 11/25

Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I need a hotel in Manhattan (as long as it's on the island and easily accessible to the subway, but preferably close to Times Square) for my friend and I. As we are college students, we don't care about the rating. THE CHEAPER THE BETTER. From another post, we know that we could get a 3.5* hotel in Soho for $100, so we're hoping to go a bit lower, maybe $70 for a 2*. Our stay will be on 11/24 and 11/25. Any strategy is appreciated.

Are you willing to pay more to be closer to midtown/times square or is the least expensive 2* or better the most important aspect of this stay?

Do you really want to include UES and UWS in your bidding, each of which can go pretty far north, and may not put you in the best of neighborhoods, especially at the lower star ratings.

Please list, by PRICELINE name, the zones you're willing to accept and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. While i know you're hoping for something about $70, if that is not successful, what is your maximum bid for this stay?

I am willing to spend up to $100, as I know there is a 3.5* hotel in Soho that another member posted.

The zones I'm looking at is: CPS, Chelsea, Soho, ESB, Hell's Kitchen, MSG, MTE, MTW, Queensborough, Times Square. I don't have a specific zone preference - again I just want the lowest price possible.

At the 2* level there are no re-bid zones, but since you're flexible in the zones, you do have multiple bidding opportunities.
