klado7 Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 So I want to head over to Vegas for on the weekend of May 5th to watch the Floyd Mayweather fight..Was curious on how should I approach this. The fight has not been confirmed yet but prices for that weekend on hotwire are $188 for a 5 star. 4 star hotels are going from $150-200. I have not checked priceline yet. Should I book now or wait? Is going through the MGM grand where the fight will be held to get a package deal (room and fight ticket) a better option? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have never been to Vegas for a fight weekend. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Are you seeing a package deal offered on the MGM website? (If so, how much?) Please provide the exact dates of the stay - 5/4-7, 5/5-7?PRICELINE would be cheaper, but you have to be willing to accept any of the possibilities within the zone bid at the star rating selected.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Please use the site's MGM Grand link on the Support page if you do decide to book a package deal via the MGM.
thereuare Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 Please start by reading your messages.Given the fight is not confirmed, unless you intend to visit Vegas anyway this weekend, i wouldn't use PRICELINE or HOTWIRE just yet. HOWEVER, once the fight is confirmed rated will likely spike... definitely book a fully refundable back-up now to protect yourself from rates rising and/or the fight not taking place. You can also use the Las Vegas Rate Checker as found under the TOOLS tab at the top of the board. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
