cliu Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 Never knew hotels during New Years Eve could be so expensive in Las Vegas so i thought i try priceline. i accidentally put in the South strip instead of the North strip so i ended up with Mandalay Bay. the total cost taxes included for 4 nights from 28dec to 1jan is about $820usd. i still need to factor in the daily resort fee at $22/day but that goes without saying now with so many hotels. during this same period of time, even circus circus is going for over $120 /night! when i went on the mandalay bay website and did a booking with the same dates and requirement, the total cost was around $1010 so i saved around $200! we have never stayed at MB but we are open to it because we got a great deal on a rental car so the hotel being off strip is not a concern to us. just wanted to share with others that when you go on priceline 4 star las vegas strip south you will probably end up with mandalay bay. we are happy with what we got.
AaronJB Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 Congrats on your success. This is a very, very nice result for NYE in Vegas, which is traditionally (unfortunately) pricey. Glad you are pleased with the result.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
