swanny Posted November 14, 2011 Report Posted November 14, 2011 HiLooking for a room on 1/7/2012 for 1 night in hollywood or west hollywood. I started on priceline with an initial bid of $120 in hollywood and that was rejected, added in West hollywood for $120 and that was rejected. Am i right in thinking i should re bid if i add in Culver city as this doesnt have any 4* hotels? in the same way adding Inglewwod and USC could be added as they dont have 4* hotels? I was thinking of increasing to $130 as wellthanks
thereuare Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding!Yes, the three zones above are currently re-bid zones (always double check just before bidding to make sure that nothing has changed) but you actually have FOUR re-bid zones available when bidding 4* in this region. See Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to confirm your 4th re-bid zones with the board.Rates are a bit on the high sdie for these dates... what is the best rate you're able to find thru conventional booking channels? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. swanny Posted November 15, 2011 Author Report Posted November 15, 2011 The fourth would be Lawndale?I havnt really looked through conventional channels i just went straight to Priceline, i saw somebody got the W for around $120 on here and i didnt think the weekend after NYE would be that sought after. Im willing to up my bid and maybe include downtown LA as well
thereuare Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 Yes, Lawndale is the other re-bid zones.Rates are date specifici so it's always recommended to research rates a bit before you star bidding... the other user's $120 win may have been during a slow time or a busy time, making $120 either too little, or too much, to be bidding for your own date(s).With a $130 limit my guess is that you'll likely need to be looking at the Downtown area to succeed for a 4*.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how your next round of bidding goes or if/how we can be of further help.
