fancynancy Posted November 20, 2011 Author Report Posted November 20, 2011 Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.Yes, Resort, Suite, Near Beach is also listed for this (condo)property.I have a feeling that it may be the Holiday Inn Harbourside. The hotel comes up as well and they are the only property listed (on the hotel list) at that specific location.Called resort and got a young girl who (surprisingly) said that it's likely their listing and that they are listed on Hotwire, Expedia, etc, and that there aren't many hotels on Indian Rocks beach.Thoughts? Thanks so much.
thereuare Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 My guess would be the Madeira Bay Resort...This HOTWIRE offer shows a 4.5/5.0 Tripadvisor rating and while this information is not updated by HOTWIRE in real-time, the Holiday Inn's 3.5 rating is far enough away that i don't think that is the most likely candidate... i think the Madeira Bay Resort would be a better guess. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. fancynancy Posted December 26, 2011 Author Report Posted December 26, 2011 I finally booked our stay in Tampa through HOTWIRE (using the link @ BB of course) last week. You were exactly right-it was the Madeira Bay Resort. Called b/f booking and they (Crystal) answered my many questions and were very nice.Called the next day to find out our unit assignment and I'm thrilled to learn they b/c they had no 1-bdrms left, they assigned us a 2bdrm with a great view of the harbour!Sometimes it pays to procrastinate! Thanks for your help in ID'ing the property- can't wait to travel!By the way, we paid $152/night +tx (thru Hotwire) which is more than we normally pay anywhere, but I figured for a family of four to get a condo on the beach that (NE) vacation wk (presidents wk) not far from Busch Gardens and Legoland, it was a good deal.Especially when you consider that the resort is currently charging $257/night +tx (we saved $884.34 for the wk using HW!)Not too shabby! (& I hope the condo isn't, but the reviews are all pretty positive)Thanks again for your help!
