hopeland Posted November 13, 2011 Report Posted November 13, 2011 Good deal for this nice hotel. Though the location is not quite ideal, the giant rooms help make up for that.Bidding* As always, used the BB QuickQuote link at the top of the page.* Began bidding at $130 for Mayfair-Soho + Westminster 5*.* Rebid in increments of $10, up to $210 with no success and no counteroffers.* Switched to $130 for Bloomsbury-Marble Arch + Chelsea-Knightsbridge + The City-London Bridge 5*.* Rebid in increments of $10, up to $170.* Received counteroffer of $222. Rejected counteroffer.* Continued bidding in increments of $5.* Bid accepted by the Wyndham Grand Chelsea Harbor at $195.$$ Comparison* Retail rate at wyndham.com was $274/night.* Best 5* rate on Hotwire was $227 for a hotel matching the amenities of the Town Hall Hotel in Islington-Shoreditch-Bethnal Green. (Apparently it is a 5* now not a 4.5*.)P.S. The City Zone box on the Post a Win doesn't have Chelsea - Knightsbridge as a choice. Had to use the old zone description instead.
