I been shopping this for about a week now, when I started the price was at $128/night, I've seen it go to $125 and now today it is $122. I'm just wondering when would be a good time to lock the price down, I still have 3wks before I go and according to the forum it has gone for as low as $113/night in the past couple months.

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

Please provide the amenity list showing with the listing and we would be happy to try to ID. There is a discussion of timing in the FAQ; other posts are not a good indicator, as prices do vary from day-to-day (often significantly.)

I'm almost 100% sure this is going to be the Sofitel, my biggest question is the price point, what the chances its going to lower from the $122/night its at now or go higher for that matter.

There's no way to know; it could go lower (although likely not that significantly, given that this is prime holiday shopping time and hotels are likely expecting walk-ins) or it could go higher. Prices (and inventory) can change at any time.

colt45,

Please start by reading your messages.

If this is one of your preferred properties in the zone, and if it's a nice discount vs. a conventionally booked room in the region, i would just purchase it and not worry about catching the last $3-$5... if this is a property you want, what is if disappears entirely and is replaced with something you don't like/want as much?

Of course if there are other properties in the zone you prefer, or there are many other options offered around the same price should this offer disappear, that would at least give you some breathing room should you decide to wait... but if you like this property, i'd focus on the $50+ savings rather than if you can get the last $5.
