Hi there,

Any recommendations here? I'd like to get a suite on the Strip (or very close) that can comfortably accommodate 4 adults. 4* is fine but 5* would be great.

Thanks,

Matt

Welcome to BetterBidding!

PRICELINE and HOTWIRE reservations are for standard rooms... you can't bid specifically for Suite accommodations.

You could search HOTWIRE for quad occupancy and the room will be guaranteed to accommodate four people, but the second 'bed' in the room could be a rollaway, pullout sofabed, etc.

Another option is to potentially bid for 2 rooms, which depending upon your dates, may not cost you much more than one room for quad occupancy (as most Vegas hotels are now charging up to $30 per person per nite over double occupancy).

What are the date(s) of your stay and maximum budget per nite?

Let us know if/how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.

Thanks for getting back to me... we're looking at 3 nights, Dec 9 to Dec 12. Ideally we'd like to keep the cost under $600 total... two rooms is an option but how flexible are the hotels in terms of putting the rooms close together?

Hotels will usually try to accommodate your request for rooms near each other, but it mostly has a LOT to do with what is available at the time you check-in... the hotel may not have rooms near each other that are both vacant and already cleaned and ready for the next guest.

HOTWIRE does have a 5* hotel, one room quad occupancy, in the Strip South zone for $187/nite which comes to $650 all-in... alternately you could try to beat this by bidding on two rooms on PRICELINE (when only searching for one room on HOTWIRE a 5* hotel appears at $118/nite... but this isn't even offered when searching for 2rooms/4adults)

HOTWIRE has a 4* hotel for quad occupancy at $125/nite ($430 all-in) where as a two rooms at a 4* hotel in the Strip North zone can be had for $69/nite ($480 all-in for two rooms)

One more aspect, depending upon how firm your budget is... most Vegas hotels now charge resort fees of ~$20/nite; if you get two rooms that is a $20 fee per room; whereas if sharing one room for quad occupancy it's only $20 for the nite. Ultimately it's going to come down to your budget vs. the convenience of having two rooms vs. 5*/4*.

Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.

That is fantastic! Thanks so much for the help... I will definitely use the links here when we go to book/bid.

Now do you have any advice on how I get the three clowns I'm travelling with to agree on something? :-)
