trigger75 Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 Hotwire has a 4* hotel in the Quincy Market area for $80 a night from 8/12 - 8/16.Amentities: pool, fitness center, restaurant on/near premise, high speed internet access, and business center.Any ideas what hotel this is? I'm thinking Wyndham, but I didn't think they have a pool.I should know this, I lived in Boston for many years.
thereuare Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding! The Hyatt Regency looks like this property, but it was previously reported in the Boston Common/Theater District zone.Upon closer inspection, it does appear to be in the Quincy Market zone, but i can't be certain. Perhaps somebody that knows the area can comment further... for somebody not from the area this boundary could go either way. I'm leaning towards it being in the Quincy Market zone and the boundary was re-zoned since this property was previously reported. Can anyone look at the Hotwire map and confirm the correct zone of the Hyatt? trigger75 Posted June 17, 2005 Author Report Posted June 17, 2005 Thanks! It has to be the Hyatt Regency. It's on Avenue de Lafayette, which is in the heart of the financial district and also right behind the building I worked in for three years. So...Quincy Market/Financial District makes more sense than Boston Common/Theatre District. I can't believe I didn't think of it.Thanks for a second opinion, now I know why everyone raves about this site!
thereuare Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 ...now I know why everyone raves about this site! You must be talking to my mother! :) Seriously, thanks for the compliments on the site. You should doublecheck as to the actual boundaries of how Hotwire defines this zone though, as the names of zones can often be misleading. Regardless of which zone it actually does lie in, this general area is right on the cusp of how they differentiate Quincy Market and Boston Common.Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay and let us know if we can be of further help.
